Pemberton, and was first offered as a soda fountain beverage - produced by mixing 'Coca-Cola' syrup with carbonated water - at Jacob's Pharmacy, Atlanta. 'Coca-Cola' arrived in Britain in 1900, when Charles Candler son of the Company founder, Asa Candler brought a jug of syrup with him on a holiday visit to England.
